The World of Two Moons is a hard place to catch up on after about a year of waiting. I now find myself returning to 'old haunts' searching for what I've missed and boy have I missed a lot! I started with Shards cause it had most of the original Wolfriders and I wanted to see what "sweet Winnie" was up to. Oh-boy this is going to be one bloody battle, I'm afraid to say. *Shudder* Shall this be the end for many? I've heard Cutter, Clearbrook, Strongbow and Ekuar might not make it through this. *Moment of silence*
Already planned out to issue 18?!! Rotten fish guts! Winnie is already turning people into puddles and the people who have the power to stop her are already sitting there in her living room! Rayek is one crazy nut! I mean he knows what he's supposed to do (defeat Winnie) and what does he go and do? *sigh* I think that he might have to decide between his heart and his head, namely Venka.
SHARDS #7 was/is amazing. I (foolishly) thought it was coming down to the end. I'm going to have to take a break after this is all over and go back through it again (and again and again). Before I leave just one question. Two-Edge is half elf right? I may be pushing it, me and my dreamberry wine, but would he have a soul name or just half of one? I'd hate to be the one who Recognizes him. Another oh-boy!

Subj: SHARDS #7
I'm a bit behind, I know, but I had to write. I like the SHARDS story, but I do have a few quibbles.
But first the good stuff. For once the title of the comic fit exactly with the story inside! "Heart" - the heart of the people finally awakened by Shuna! More than that, we also got to see a little more into the hearts of Skot and Krim. They really want a child! And poor Strongbow, he really misses his family! But why is Dart 13 again in his thoughts? Strongbow last saw Dart when he was 16! And Dart could send to his father by way of the little palace, so Strongbow must have some idea of what his son looks like now.
Now the quibble: Must there be so much blood? I know this is a war, but come on . . . The first war didn't have so much blood and guts. Did Winnowill do some thing to the peace hounds to make them bleed gallons of blood every time they're cut? And speaking of Winnowill, does she have to puree ALL her victims? (No, she doesn't have to: she simply likes to. -RP) Okay, blood I can accept, but does it have to splurt everywhere? Disgusting!
This is about the cover to the next issue: where'd the life go? They look possessed! Especially Aroree! I don't know what it is... No, I do know. It's her eyes. Without pupils she looks blind. And having yellow eyes doesn't help any. Yikes. (It's supposed to be a spooky cover- we do have them from time to time. The elves are getting into some eerie stuff. - RP)
Okay, this isn't a quibble, just a statement. That really long letter from Elaine Scruggs had some really good points in it. The sad part is, I agree with her. A death is inevitable. But it won't be Skot or Krim. That would be to easy. Besides, we barely know them. I hate to say this, but Cutter's death makes the most sense. Cutter would jump in front of an enemy's sword to save any tribemate. I have this sinking feeling something like that is going to happen.

I just wanted to let you know that I really liked SHARDS #7. The artwork, layout, and presentation were excellent. I wish this level of quality were available in your other titles. The richness of it was musical in nature.
I liked the possible conflict that could occur in Krim if she ends up pregnant. Will she die the glorious death or live to have the kid... hmmmm.
I also look forward to the eventual confron- tation between father and daughter when Shuna's identity leaks out (and it will). Does he have any fatherly compassion left? Will his rage and mortification carry him to try to destroy her?
I'm glad that Strongbow still thinks fondly of Dart as a cub. Those were simpler days before quests and the like. But does he never think of Crescent? (She was drawn with unruly hair, so I assume that she was his daughter.) Perhaps he and she did not see eye to eye but a stray warm thought of her might be a nice touch.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I liked it. It was reminiscent of books years gone by. Thank you.

Hm. I'd say the level of quality is high in all of our titles, although with different art styles. But stick with us; events are building to climaxes in several titles. Keep those cards, letters, and reminiscences splurting in, and see you in 45! - RP
